Mummy Guilt can be defined as the feeling of self-condemnation that we experience when thoughts of spending time & money on ourselves seem like a selfish idea. It can also be understood as the constant worry we feel for our kids which eventually turns into GUILT. Infact anyone caring for children is bound to experience similar guilty feelings.
According to a study by Working Mother Research Institute, 48 percent of working mothers and 42 percent of those at home say they feel guilty that they’re not doing enough to take care of themselves.
A survey by Daily mail has found that more than 96 per cent of women feel guilty at least once a day, & almost three quarters said they had experienced more guilt since giving birth.
I believe that a mothers journey should not be & need not be a GUILT trip.
