Guilt of today’s modern mothers!
Mummy Guilt can be defined as the feeling of self-condemnation that we experience when thoughts of spending time & money on ourselves seem like a selfish idea. It can also be understood as the constant worry we feel for our kids which eventually turns into GUILT. In fact anyone caring for children is bound to experience similar guilty feelings.
According to a study by Working Mother Research Institute, 48 percent of working mothers and 42 percent of those at home say they feel guilty that they’re not doing enough to take care of themselves.
A survey by Daily mail has found that more than 96 per cent of women feel guilty at least once a day, & almost three quarters said they had experienced more guilt since giving birth.
Most recently, a study of 2000 women commissioned by babycare company NUK revealed a staggering 87 per cent of mothers feel guilty at some point, with 21 per cent admitting they feel this way ‘most’ or ‘all of the time’.
